Dentro da Baleia is an independent television production company based in Lisbon, founded in 2023 by Lígia Resende, director, Luís Gama, producer, and Miguel Frazão, screenwriter. Before starting the company, the three worked together for over fifteen years across different formats and television projects.

That shared experience is at the heart of Dentro da Baleia: a small, close-knit team, used to accompanying projects from the initial idea through to final delivery.

The company has specialised in children’s television, an area that demands rigour, creativity and a command of very different storytelling languages. It is in this space that it has built a consistent track record on RTP 2, with Descomplica, a science magazine first broadcast in 2023 and now in its third season, and Zig, Zag, ZZZ e Amigos, a 40-episode puppet series.

Dentro da Baleia also works for other audiences and clients. The company has produced Os Lusíadas, a 10-episode series for RTP 2 based on the work of Camões; Vistas Largas, a series on economic history for ISEG, written and presented by António Castro Henriques; Património Cultural 360º, a documentary for the Ministry of Culture on the digitisation of cultural heritage; and EBUG, a project developed for the Directorate-General of Health.
